He was first mentioned as a headright in a patent issued to Joseph Croshaw, Oct 19, 1643, and patented land in York Co. Feb 29 1649/50. He lived in York Co. where he owned land adjoining that of his brother Joseph. His will, July 31, 2667-May 24, 1669 made his wife executrix and left her “my land I now live on during her lifetime, it joining on the Indian field in Marston Parish” and named son Benjamin and daughters Elizabeth Jones and Margaret and Rachel Crowhaw.
